MakeCode Arcade - Make games, learn coding, have fun

Attendees of this session will learn about Microsoft's MakeCode Arcade - a site anyone can use to learn programming and make games, no previous coding experience required! Bring your laptop and you can code along with the samples as we build a game together with feedback from the audience. When we're done, we'll share the URL of our creation that you can take home and change/extend as you see fit! One lucky attendee will walk away with a prize specifically designed for MakeCode Arcade, who knows, it may be you (Geeklings/Campmates/Young Counselors only please)! The Microsoft TEALS program uses MakeCode Arcade as one of the tools in its "Introduction to CS" class, delivered at the middle and high school levels. I recently had the opportunity to teach a high school course utilizing the tool, and I think it's a great way to get kids & teens excited about programming. The immediate feedback of the tool is great, and really helps keep students engaged during learning.
