React Native from an Android dev
Thursday, August 1, 2024 - 3:30 PM UTC, for 1 hour.
Regular, 60 minute presentation
Room: African 30
Cross-platform mobile solutions are commonplace now; Flutter offers buttery-smooth apps, Xamarin/Maui brings native experiences to our .NET friends, and React Native welcomes in the web crew. Focusing on the latter technology, we'll cover how to get up and running with React Native through the lens of Android development. This includes everything from environment setup to how to actively develop a feature. This session does not require previous knowledge of React (though it probably won't hurt) or even Android development (though I probably won't shut up about it). It's really meant to make that onboarding experience a bit more comfortable.
Prerequisites
No previous experience required, but it'll be easier for people if they've done React or some kind of mobile development previously.
