Codepens are here: https://codepen.io/collection/PYzpRj For a long time, we had no choice but to use JavaScript for things that felt like they should belong in the domain of CSS, but those days are quickly becoming a thing of the past. In this talk, I will look at simple CSS solutions that we see JavaScript used for on a regular basis. This is not a dive into hacky solutions where we're trying to avoid JS just for the sake of it, but instead, an exploration of CSS features that solve problems we used to have to rely on JavaScript for, and some of those things might surprise you!
Prerequisites
Enough experience to understand the basics of HTML & CSS will generally be enough to follow along, though it might hit home most for people who've been hacking away with JavaScript for a while.
